You might say I’ve seen it all. Been there, done that. Bought the t-shirt.
I survived a car accident in my late teens and I’ve endured chronic pain my whole adult life. By now, mine is a familiar story: Pain led to opioid prescriptions, which led to addictions, street drugs, and multiple attempts to build a career that could accommodate my pain and still satisfy my entrepreneurial passion. Despite successful stints as a professional Chef, businessperson, and non profit CEO, I hit a wall. Then after being diagnosed with a degenerative disk disease, Fibromyalgia and an unnamed autoimmune disease that does not allow me to eat much of anything anymore, I knew my relationship with opioids had to end, they were killing me and I wanted to live, and I wanted to help others do the same!
Cannabis as medicine has changed my life in almost every way. Today, my passion is making sure that edibles can be affordable and accessible for those who need them.
I started my first cannabis-based business, Culinary Therapy Inc., in the Canadian legacy market in 2017. It was definitely the most daunting experience of my life but it gave me the insight and knowledge I needed to create the Frckn' Delicious! DIY Gummy Kit.
